The  Paco Z-80 uses a switchable test probe like many Signal Tracers of the day but due to lack of appropriate
retail quality
probe bodies - "switchable" probes are not available
The KK4HXJ solution is a "Siamese" test probe, which has seperate probes for Audio and RF functions as well as a shared ground lead
these devices are especially subject to RF interference and shielding of test leads is imperitive, this design uses a Switchcraft 2501F Connector

This probe is similar to many of the Siamese style replacement probes I have produced for years
This is hand assembled by me from my popular Deluxe VTVM probe kit sold here on eBay, using my methods and good attention to detail.
The unit is presented in a Labeled, Retail Quality, Reusable, 4 Mil Poly Ziplock Bag and is wrapped with a Reusable Velcro Strip to keep the leads organized and ready.
This dual probe setup, serves as a substitute for the mostly missing or incomplete original test probe which used a switch at the tip of the probe to switch the Resistor in/out of the circuit.
This Siamese or Dual-Probe arrangement involves using one probe for RF tracing (with the cap and diode installed) and the other probe for Audio tracing
The probes are built from the following items (many of which are hard to source economically):
1 Pair of Genuine Philmore Test Probes - 1 Red/1 Black
1 Genuine Switchcraft 2501 F connector with heat shrink Sleeve
1 .0068uF Capacitor, 1N34A Diode and 47K ohm resistor in the RF Probe (all components are in series, which is why they fit into the narrow probe body - making this one of the few suitable models for this design)
1 Alligator Clip & Heat Shrink Tubing
2 Laminated Self Adhesive Probe Labels and Clear Heat Shrink Tubing to cover the probe labels, resulting in a professional and durable setup (see photos)
2 36" lengths of RG174 Coaxial Wire (used for DC & AC/Ohms test Leads) (Very Flexible - makes a great test lead)
1 36" Length of 18 Gauge Rubber Test Lead Wire (Very Flexible - High Quality) for the Ground Lead
